Position Summary

Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department. Assesses patient needs, develops and implements individualized plans of care, responds to changes in clinical condition, and collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to provide safe, high-quality emergency care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, and provide nursing care to patients across all age groups and levels of acuity.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and monitor patient response.
  • Perform cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring and recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
  • Assist physicians with emergency procedures and provide care during critical and emergent situations.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, pain management, and ongoing care.
  • Coordinate and communicate patient care with physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation and participate in performance improvement activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of recent acute care experience preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year of Emergency Department experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of required department competencies and orientation.
  • Basic computer skills; triage experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; additional languages preferred.

Job Type: Full-time, Nights

Pay: $65.00-$85.00/hourly
